July Sunset At Alma Marina

Perched on the north side of the Alma Marina, above a rocky shoreline, I watched the late evening sunset. The day was rainy, my feet wet, the earth spongy. Lavender clouds rolled through, casting muted mauve reflections on the water. Then the clouds opened up. The sun peeked through, just as it hit the horizon. For a few moments, the world turned a spectacular orange.
